Tomarlo

The name

The Pasculli Tomarlo road bike is named after the Passo del Tomarlo, one of the highest mountain passes along the Nure Valley in Emilia-Romagna. The region is known for its Roman ruins, medieval villages and rich cuisine. So why not treat yourself to an extra portion of Ragù alla Bolognese before a long drive? Carboloading! At 1486 meters, the Passo del Tomarlo is the highest pass in the Ligurian Apennines. The Giro d’Italia has passed here three times: in 1977, 1989 and 1994. Where wild boar, wolves, foxes and deer say goodnight to each other, you can tackle the ascent of the Passo del Tomarlo from Caselle, among other places. The 13-kilometre route covers 805 meters in altitude with an average gradient of 6.1 percent. But even if your pulse is pounding in your temples and your legs are burning – the landscape is so beautiful and varied that you will think “up, up, Tomarlo!”

Since 2017, we have also been offering most of our bikes in KomPas geometries. The KomPas geometries were created in collaboration with our friends at KOMSport and developed with the expertise of over 15 years of customization.
