The Altissimo is optionally equipped with simple, aesthetic rim brakes. The advantage: they are not only cheaper, easier to fit and maintain, but also several hundred grams lighter than disc brakes. Maybe you’d like a slice of cake more. Or you can opt for disc brakes. Disc brakes have a considerably higher braking force – so you need less force in your hands to brake.
