The Altissimo racing bike is named after Lorenzo Altissimo. As a close friend, he accompanied us from the very beginning with Pasculli and was something like our agent. Altissimo is also the name of a mountain peak on Lake Garda: Monte Altissimo di Nago. Winding Dolomite roads paired with Mediterranean flair and mild temperatures make the Italian Trentino a perfect racing bike region. A mountain transfer with rescue sprocket is obligatory here. Monte Altissimo di Nago is the northernmost and highest mountain peak of the Monte Baldo massif and rises a mighty 2,078 meters into the sky. During the First World War, soldiers were camped on and around Monte Altissimo. Trenches, barracks and building ruins are still reminders of the Alpine war. Marmots frolic among them. At the summit, the view of Lake Garda will take your breath away before the epic loop back downhill.
